

1. Who may use the Memorial Garden?
It is available to any member or former member of the Church and his or her immediate family. The immediate Family is defined as spouse, parents and children of the member.

2. Is the Memorial Garden a cemetery?
Yes and no. Only ashes from cremation are buried or scattered. Buried ashes must be interred in a specified container and within a specified plot in the Garden.

3. How will the names of the deceased by recorded?
A permanent engraved name plate will be attached to the memorial board located within the Memorial Garden. The Secretary of the Memorial Garden committee will maintain a permanent plat of the Garden.

4. What does it cost for internment in the Garden?
There is a fee to be paid to Memorial Garden Committee for the commitment of ashes. Please contact the Church Office for the current amount.

5. How will the Garden be maintained?
All commitment fees are used for the operation, maintenance, repair and improvement of the Memorial Garden.

6. When may I make a commitment?
Commitment fees may be paid at any time and, if requested, space within the burying plot may be reserved. However, specific plots will not be assigned until an internment is to be made.

7. Can I make a special donation to the Garden?
Cash donations can be given to the Zion Lutheran Church, Memorial Garden Fund.

8. How may I obtain more information?
Copies of the "Memorial Garden Agreements" and "Rules and Regulations" concerning the Memorial Garden are maintained in the Church Office. Any member of the Church can obtain a copy for family discussion, referral to an attorney or other legitimate use. The Pastor and other Memorial Garden members will be pleased to assist you in any way.
