Sunday School has begun!
Welcome back all F.I.S.H. participants and families! We hope you had a relaxing summer.
There are some new and exciting changes taking place within Sunday school. The Christian Education Committee has developed some new programs for children of all ages.
Children three years old through 3rd grade will have their Sunday school during service in the church basement. The length of this will be approximately from when the first reading begins until communion.
Children in 4th through 6th grade will have their lesson once a month on Wednesday evenings, beginning October 7th, 6-7:00pm. Please contact Kristi Lindahl or Barb Rosborough for further information.
Children in 7th and 8th grades will be having confirmation class on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:00 pm. This group, along with our high school age youth will also be merging with the group from Church United Methodist Church in Deerfield. These activities will take place on Sunday evenings. For further information, please contact Julia Arbaugh.
If you are interested in volunteering with the PreK-3rd and/or 4th-6th grade programs, please contact the Christian Ed Committee. Your time and ideas are appreciated. The position of the Sunday school coordinator is still open; hence the F.I.S.H. group needs help to organize activities. Even if you are available to assist with one lesson…that would be fantastic!
The Christmas program will also be here before we know it. If you have an idea or would like to help with that, please contact the Christian Ed Committee.

4th - 6th grades:
- Christian activity Wednesday Oct. 7th; 6-7:00
- Special presentation from Russian orphanage Sunday Oct. 25th; 10:30-11:30
7th & 8th grades:
- Fellowship with CUMC Oct. 4; 5-7:00
- Confirmation classes Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28; 6-7:00
- Special presentation from Russian orphanage Sunday Oct. 25th; 10:30-11:30
9th – 12th grades:
- Fellowship with CUMC Oct. 4; 5-7:00
