  • What kind of church is Zion?
    We are a Lutheran congregation affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), a denomination known for its emphasis on grace, service, and welcoming all people.

  • Do I need to be Lutheran to attend?
    No.  You do not need to be Lutheran.  All are welcome.

  • Is Communion served?
    Yes. We gather for Holy Communion each week and invite all to participate in this open table.

​

  • Will I be singled out as a visitor? 
    Not at all.  Come as you are.  We’re simply glad you’re here.

​

  • What happens during the service? 
    Thoughtful, relevant sermons that includes music, prayer, reflection, and community.

  • Is there a bulletin or guide to follow along? 
    Yes. Traditional Lutheran worship that’s easy to follow.

​

  • What should I wear?
    Casual to dressy.  Come as you are.

​

  • Do you have childcare or a nursery? 
    Yes

​

  • What programs are available for kids?
    Each Sunday, Pastor Joe shares a special Children’s Message during worship. Sunday School is also offered every week from September through May, taking place during Worship from 9:45–10:15 a.m.

  • Can my children stay with me during the service?
    Yes

  • Will I fit in if I don’t have a church background? 

  • What if I haven’t been to church in a long time? 

  • What if I’m still exploring my faith? 
    You don’t need to have it all figured out.  We’re glad you’re here.

  • What if I’m not sure if Zion is the right place for me?
    That’s okay.  Visiting a new church can feel like a big step. We invite you to come, experience Zion for yourself, and see where God may be leading.
